If you are using Safari, install any available updates for Safari.
Select and install all available updates for the system software, any security updates, and any updates which specifically mention Java. Once the application finishes checking for updates, click "Check Details" to view the individual updates which are available.

Reinstall and configure the latest version of Java as described above. Repeat until there are no version of Java listed in the Programs and Features window. However, if you are unable to find the "Exception Site List" on the Security tab in the Java Control Panel, it is likely that an earlier version of Java is still present on your system and interferring with the most recent version. In most cases, no additional configuration will be necessary on Windows systems. Verify that all browser windows are closed, then restart your browser. Click "OK" to close the Java Control Panel. Once Java has been installed, adjust the following setting in the Java Control Panel. Close and restart your web browser after completing the Java install.
